513-345-5504Jason Paskan was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 2009 and originally started with BSPH in the Cleveland Office in 2010. During his nearly eight (8) year career with BSPH, he primarily focused on medical negligence claims, defending doctors, hospitals, nursing homes, and other medical specialists at the trial and appellate levels. Mr. Paskan tried multiple medical malpractice cases through jury verdict in various parts of the State and has argued cases in the Fourth, Fifth, Eighth, Ninth, and Twelfth Districts; he is also admitted to the Northern District of Ohio and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. While in his first stint with BSPH, Mr. Paskan was an Ohio Super Lawyer Rising Star from 2013 to 2018.
Mr. Paskan spent five (5) years teaching writing and litigation focused classes at the Charleston School of Law, in Charleston, South Carolina, earning Professor of the Year in 2020. During his time at CSOL, he served as the Faculty Advisor for the Trial Advocacy and Moot Court Boards, helping multiple students and teams earn awards in advocacy and writing. Mr. Paskan co-created a class that merged the negotiation and drafting of contracts with the litigation aspects of civil procedure. The creation of the class, and recommendation that other institutions consider similar practical endeavors, became the subject of a published law review article. His second publication, a chapter in “Fostering First Gen Success and Inclusion: A Guide for Law Schools”, is geared toward helping law schools assist their first-generation law students in effectively grasping the concepts of legal analysis and the importance of effective communication.
Having returned to Ohio, Mr. Paskan joined the Cincinnati Office of BSPH as Of Counsel in 2022 and he is looking forward to representing clients in all aspects of litigation.
